Do you like snacks??

I know I sure do! I can snack all day errday of my life!! LOL 😂 I’m more of a chip type of person. I like the saltiness of snacks! I’m not too big on the sweets but I do have my moments! Yumm!! 😋

The other day I wanted something different though. I wanted something quick, easy and enough to fill me up for the moment. I wanted some carbs and boy I LOOOOVVVVEEE❤️ CARBS!!! 😂 I can eat carbs ALL DAY LONG if I could! NOM NOM NOM!😋

So I looked in my freezer and I found some flatbread I had kept in case I wanted to make something with it one day! I dug around my fridge to see what I can make with it. I was limited on items I had since I haven’t gone grocery shopping yet to restock my fridge. So I kept looking around in every drawer and shelf in my fridge and then……AH HA!! LIGHTBULB!! 💡💡

🍄MUSHROOM FLATBREAD!!!

What are mushrooms??

Now who doesn’t love mushrooms?! They have a lot of good sources of nutrients for you and plus they taste delicious!! 🍄🍄🍄

Mushrooms have so many great nutrients for you and your body plus it tastes so delicious, how can you go wrong with that right?! Mushrooms are a good source of antioxidant, fiber, protein and many other minerals and vitamins! They are also low in calories!

I remember my sister told me one day that she had made some mushroom flatbread. She told me she had purchased some frozen made mushroom flatbread from Trader Joe’s but then decided that it seems simple enough to make. So she put together her own and told me about it! It was really quick and simple and I haven’t tried it yet but now I have and it’s such a great snack to snack on.

You can even just top it off with some black truffle oil and BOOM you got yourself a Fancy appetizer! 😆

For this recipe, you’ll only need a few things.

You will need a package of already made flatbread (I got the Firestone brand garlic flavor, you can find this at stater bros) or you could even use a pizza crust to make it into a mushroom pizza but without the red sauce! 😉 You’ll also need some shredded mozzarella cheese, your favorite mushrooms of course (baby Bella and shiitake is what I use) and sliced these up, chopped fresh garlic, some olive oil and salt and pepper! That’s it! It’s as simple as that!

Mushroom Flatbread with Baby Bella and Shiitake Mushrooms!

Quick instructions

Preheat your oven or toaster oven to 400℉. Take out your flatbread and drizzle some olive oil on it and spread it around. Add ½ cup of mozzarella cheese then add your sliced mushrooms and fresh garlic.  Add the remaining mozzarella cheese or however much you want on it. I love cheese so I put a lot on mine lol Yumm Yumm! Then I top it off with a pinch of salt and pepper and throw it in the oven to bake for about 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and/or the bread is golden brown. Remove it from the oven and ENJOY! 😋😋

It works for a great little appetizer or snack!
