Creamed Corn: A Delicious Side Dish for Your Next Dinner

Creamed corn is a classic comfort food that is perfect for any dinner occasion. The creamy and sweet flavor of the corn is elevated with the addition of butter, cream, and seasonings. This creamed corn recipe comes together in just 15 minutes — and I think this is so much better than the canned ones.

Ingredients:

  • 2 16oz bag Sweet Frozen Corn
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 1-2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 2-3 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1 Cup 2% Milk or Whole Milk
  • 2 Tbsp Flour
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Parsley to garnish

Instructions:

  • Combine corn, heavy cream, butter, salt, pepper and start with 1 Tbsp of sugar in a skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until butter has melted.
  • While waiting for butter to melt, whisk together milk and flour in a small bowl until mixed well.
  • Add milk mixture to the skillet and continue to cook, stir until sauce is thickened and corn is cooked through.
  • Add remaining Tbsp of sugar if needed to your taste. (add parmesan and mix to your liking)
  • Remove from the heat and let it sit for sauce to thicken.(garnish with more parmesan and or parsley) ENJOY!!
